Set just inland from the Connecticut shoreline, Saltwater Farm Vineyard feels timeless without being stuffy. Weathered stone walls, open fields, and rolling vineyard views give the space a relaxed, honest character—elegant but unpretentious. It’s the kind of place that invites people to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and truly settle into the day.

Saltwater Farm is perfect for couples who want a wedding that feels grounded, intentional, and beautifully simple—where the setting enhances the celebration without ever overpowering it.

A quiet CT coastal vineyard with soul

"What I loved most about his style and technique was that he didn’t tell us how to pose, as to not create heavily curated photos. Instead, he simply gave us suggestions or a general direction on what we could do, so we had the freedom to act as we pleased and knew Randall would find that perfect candid moment to capture."

- Erica & Steve

"With his warm and inviting personality, working with Randall was truly a delightful experience."

Saltwater Farm works so well because it strikes a rare balance: it feels refined, but never formal; scenic, but never staged.

Couples love it for:
  • A private, tucked-away setting that feels peaceful and unrushed
  • Sweeping vineyard and field views in every direction
  • A naturally flowing layout for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception
  • A warm, welcoming atmosphere that encourages genuine connection
  • Golden-hour light that turns the entire property soft and glowing

It’s a venue that supports presence—where the day unfolds naturally and the focus stays on the people, not the production.

Photography at saltwater farm vineyard

From a photographer’s perspective, Saltwater Farm is a dream because it doesn’t fight the story. The light, textures, and open space all work together in a really organic way. I've been lucky enough to return to Saltwater for weddings for 10+ years. What I love most about photographing weddings here:
  • The blend of rustic and modern elements. Inside and out. I love the mix of metal and wood, nature and structure. Totally my vibe.
  • A variety of photography opportunities throughout the day. If we start earlier in the day and the sun is high in the sky and a bit harsh, I know spots that have great shade, so everyone won't be squinting. As the day progresses, we can use more locations around the main building, and towards dusk, the vineyards are always gorgeous.
  • Inside, when the lights are hung all around the reception space or the light wall option, so fun to incorporate those elements into the reception photos. It can be a tough, slightly darker space after sunset, but with a photographer who knows how to use off-camera flash and balance the ambient mood, the results are amazing.

I’d love to help you make the most of this stunning venue. Please reach out with any questions. I’m happy to share insights or tips from past weddings I’ve photographed here.
