Boston Commercial Photographer

As a commercial photographer in Boston, I feel truly lucky that my job is to go out into the world and create photographs. For the last 15 years as a Boston photographer, I've specialized in:

As a New England native, I bring a dynamic combination of creative vision and practical application to each job and know the success of any project has more to do with team than ego. Lighting, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with every client are the components that make the resulting images successful. My goal for every project is to deliver both high-quality imagery and an excellent level of service.

My photography background stems from my love for the landscape. After graduating from Boston College with a degree in English and Photography I went on to study with fine art photographers like John Sexton, Ray McSavaney, Nick Johnson, and Chris Jordan. Working and living on the Monterey Peninsula in California and working with photographer Scott Campbell had a significant impact on my career trajectory. My aesthetic has always derived from searching for order, balance, and calm within the viewfinder. Additionally, I've been fortunate to travel to some beautiful locations and you can see my travel photography here.

Featured Boston Commercial Photography Projects

MCPHS University – Editorial Portrait Photography in Boston

As a Boston commercial photographer, I was commissioned by MCPHS University to create a series of on-location editorial portraits for their marketing and alumni features. The goal was to highlight students and alumni in environments that reflected their academic and professional paths, from classrooms on the Boston campus to research labs at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Since every location presented different challenges—from tight lab spaces with mixed lighting to high-traffic campus areas—I had to adapt quickly while keeping the portraits clean, authentic, and visually cohesive. My approach combined natural light with subtle off-camera flash to balance mood and clarity, ensuring the images felt editorial yet polished. The final portraits not only brought each story to life, but also helped reinforce MCPHS’s brand as forward-thinking, diverse, and deeply connected to the Boston medical and academic community.

Clarks – Interior Photography at Faneuil Hall, Boston

As a Boston commercial interior photographer, I was hired by TeamITG to photograph the newly renovated Clarks retail store in Boston’s iconic Faneuil Hall. The location had just undergone a complete interior refresh—including updated product displays, new signage and print installations, and a fully reimagined layout that blended Clarks’ heritage with a more modern, experiential retail environment.

TeamITG needed polished imagery that would serve multiple purposes: internal documentation, marketing rollout, and inclusion in case studies for both Clarks and their own design portfolio. Photographing retail interiors in a space like Faneuil Hall comes with unique challenges—reflective surfaces, varied light sources, and tight timelines. I worked efficiently during off-hours to capture clean, well-lit images that showcased key zones: hero product displays, signage integration, shopper pathways, and focal architectural elements.

My approach emphasized thoughtful composition, natural perspective, and maintained brand consistency throughout the visual set. The final images delivered what the client needed—crisp, elevated visuals that not only showcased the finished environment but also helped reinforce the strength of Clarks’ evolving in-store experience.

Soderholm Custom Builders – Architectural & Interior Photography

As a Boston commercial photographer specializing in architecture and interiors, I was hired by Soderholm Custom Builders to photograph a newly completed luxury home in the Greater Boston area. The goal of the shoot was to highlight the craftsmanship, detail, and design vision that set their work apart—from custom millwork and cabinetry to thoughtfully integrated lighting and material selections.

This wasn’t just a documentation project—it was about creating portfolio-ready imagery that captured the quality and intentionality of the build in a clean, consistent visual language. The client needed photographs that would appeal to both future homeowners and potential design partners, while also aligning with their brand’s refined, high-touch reputation.

Working with natural light and supplemental strobes, I carefully styled and composed each shot to emphasize flow, spatial harmony, and texture. Each room was approached with both architectural structure and emotional impact in mind—creating images that feel lived-in but elevated.

Chapman Construction / Design – Architectural Photography in Burlington, MA

Chapman Construction / Design brought me in to photograph a recently completed design-build project in Burlington, MA. As a Boston-based architectural and interior photographer, my role was to document both the structural design and the refined interior details of the commercial space they had just delivered.

Chapman needed images that reflected their commitment to craftsmanship, sustainability, and modern workplace design. The photos would be used across multiple platforms: their website portfolio, social media, proposals for future clients, and internal presentations.

I worked with their marketing team to identify hero angles and areas of focus—highlighting architectural lines, material textures, lighting design, and spatial flow. Because the space was fully finished but not yet occupied, I had the freedom to create clean, unobstructed compositions that elevated the sense of form and function.

The final image set was edited with a clean and true-to-life aesthetic that matched Chapman’s visual brand. The results helped showcase not just the project itself, but the quality, professionalism, and attention to detail Chapman brings to every job site.

D. McQuillan Construction & Fine Homes – Branding Photography & Video

D. McQuillan Construction & Fine Homes hired me as they were preparing for a full website redesign. As a Boston commercial photographer, I was brought in to create a cohesive library of branded content — including environmental headshots, team photos, behind-the-scenes video b-roll, and visual storytelling elements that communicated the personality and values behind their construction business.

This wasn’t a generic headshot session. My goal was to capture each team member in a way that felt approachable and professional, while also creating a consistent look and feel that aligned with the company’s high-end reputation and client-focused brand. We photographed on location — both in their office and at one of their active job sites — to give prospective clients a sense of the people, process, and craftsmanship behind the final product.

In addition to still photography, I captured short-form video b-roll to be used as background texture for their new website — shots of site walkthroughs, project planning moments, hands-on craftsmanship, and natural team interactions. The result was a versatile visual toolkit that reflected the company’s integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.

G9 Financial – Corporate Headshots & Team Photography

G9 Financial hired me to produce a full set of corporate headshots and team photos for use across their website, social media, and marketing materials. As a Boston headshot and branding photographer, my goal was to create professional, cohesive images that reflected the firm’s experience, personality, and trust-based client relationships.

We photographed both individual portraits and group shots on location using balanced off-camera flash and ambient light to keep the look clean, flattering, and consistent across the team. The final photo set helped elevate their web presence and gave them the visual polish needed to stand out in a competitive financial services space.
